New @ MAGNETFILM: VIRGILIO
We're delighted to announce a new title for our documentary line-up: VIRGILIO by Alfred Oliveri was the closing film in San Sebastian IFF in 2022. The co-production between House of Chef (Argentina) and Astromax (Uruguay) is a portrait of Peruvian chef and restaurateur Virgilio Martínez who is known for applying modern cooking techniques to indigenous Peruvian ingredients.

FRITZ BAUER'S LEGACY @ MIAMI JFF
Thrilled to be able to announce the North American premiere of FRITZ BAUER'S LEGACY at the world's biggest Jewish Film Festival in Miami! Big congratulations to Sabine Lamby, Cornelia Partman and Isabel Gathof!
This special premiere event (on Wed Jan 25 @ 7pm cinema South Beach) will feature the attendance of writer/director Isabel Gathof, who will introduce the film and participate in a panel discussion featuring FIU Law Professor Tawia Baidoe Ansah. The panel discussion is hosted by FIU's Annual Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Week. More information at miamijewishfilmfestival.org
Also selected to the festival is THE ART OF SILENCE by Maurizius Staerkle Drux - the screening will be Saturday, January 21 at 8pm at Cinema South Beach.

THE ART OF SILENCE @ SLAMDANCE 2023
Congrats to Maurizius Staerkle Drux & team as THE ART OF SILENCE has been selected to SLAMDANCE in their 'Breakouts' program!
SLAMDANCE will be a hybrid festival with events in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah from January 20th to 26th and online on the Slamdance Channel from January 23rd to 29th.
